Northwest Georgia Dermatology participates with many insurance companies, and some are listed on this page. However, most insurance companies have more than one plan for individual participants and with varying coverage benefits. Your insurance plan may be considered either in-network or out-of-network. It is the responsibility of the patient to understand their individual insurance plan coverage benefits to make sure their plan covers the services to be received.
Patients will be fully responsible for any non-covered services, services deemed medically unnecessary, insurance denied services, co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance. In addition, be sure to obtain a referral or pre-authorization before contacting Northwest Georgia Dermatology to schedule an appointment if this is required by your individual insurance plan.
Worker’s Compensation cases are accepted with proper documentation assuring payment for all services rendered by Northwest Georgia Dermatology. Employers should call to schedule the initial appointment and to verify coverage. Any services denied by the workers’ compensation plan will be the responsibility of the patient for all provided services by Northwest Georgia Dermatology.
Northwest Georgia Dermatology accepts patients that are uninsured/self-pay and payment for services rendered is required at the time of service. Accepted methods of payment are credit/debit (including CareCredit) and cash. Under these circumstances, it is preferred not to accept checks.
Pursuant to the No Surprises Act (a federal law), uninsured or self-pay patients are entitled to a good faith estimate (GFE) of the costs and services for non-emergency care. Upon scheduling an appointment, checking in, and during your office visit, patients will be provided with an estimate of the costs for services or anticipated services. In addition, patients will be provided with an estimate for any procedures or services resulting from their routine office visit (e.g. surgeries and medically unnecessary/cosmetic procedures).
Please visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises for more information on the “Good Faith Estimate for Health Care Items and Services” under the No Surprises Act.
CO-PAYMENTS, CO-INSURANCE, AND DEDUCTIBLES ARE DUE AT TIME OF SERVICE
ALL MAJOR CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED INCLUDING CARE CREDIT
